To call São Paolo’s annual March for Jesus a huge procession is an understatement. Since the inaugural event back in 1993, the parade has grown into the largest of its kind in the whole world
and has attracted much media attention. Organisers expect up to a staggering 5 million evangelical Christians to swarm the streets of the Brazilian metropolis, led by live Christian bands on boats and trucks.
The 23rd March for Jesus takes place on June 4th. The huge street manifestation of evangelicals is expected to beat previous record attendances of several millions. ‘This March represents the unity and communion of all who trust Jesus as the Son of God and desire to express their faith,’ says one of the organisers. From 9.30 am, there will be a Kids March, where children and their parents follow the same route, proclaiming their faith.
