Oli has just turned 15 – he goes to boarding school at Harrow, one of Britain’s most illustrious Independent Schools, where many of the future leaders of the world come to learn. He explains: “Two years ago… in my final year of prep school… the door of opportunity opened at Harrow School when they offered me an ‘Outstanding Talent’ scholarship for my swimming and since then I have never looked back.”
“The whole atmosphere at Harrow is a positive one and I feel at ease to explore my Christian faith here…. it is an institution that nurtures Christian worship and places great value on giving to charities.” “Harrow has got a Christian Union called Flambards which I go to every week on a Friday evening. We talk about Jesus and the Bible, usually with a special guest speaker attending.”
Oli says that, since the age of 11 he has been able to spend a week each year with Christians in Sport at their residential camp. “I really love it and enjoy meeting many enthusiastic young Christian who, like me, are passionate about sport,” Oli says. A few months ago, Oli was Baptised and Confirmed at Harrow by the Bishop of London. He says, “Now I love going to Communion every week before school starts. It’s so exciting to learn so much about Jesus and it’s changed my life.”
