The Wilberforce Academy, which will run this year from 1st to 5th of September, seeks to train younger people eager to be ready for Christian leadership in public life. Whatever sphere they are involved in, whether it is law, politics, education, media, arts or business, the Wilberforce Academy aims to prepare students and young professionals for servant-hearted, Christ-centred public leadership. Delegates are equipped with a robust biblical framework that guides their thinking, prayers and activity in addressing the issues facing our society.
An initiative of Christian Concern, the Wilberforce Academy is a network of young Christians who want to make an impact for Jesus in society. The teaching is intensely practical, with space for questions as well as smaller groups at the end of each day to encourage application of the day’s teaching.
Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali says, “There is an urgent need to raise up the next generation of Christian leaders in public life. I believe that the Wilberforce Academy has a vital part to play in this. I highly recommend it”
