To help develop the work of Speak Life by improving our relationship with our supporters.
This will include helping to develop a donor relationship program, being responsible for gift
acknowledgements, producing appeal letters, maintain data integrity within our database
and assist with the production of all our printed material. You will help generate and grow
income through a range of fundraising activities that will support our work in the short,
medium and long-term.
Responsibilities and Duties
Donor Relations (50% of your time)
You will manage funder relationships, and work across the charity to develop
supporter care and fundraising initiatives that engage our supporters and other

Keeping our database clean and up to date.
Assist in the production of our Speak Life Prayer bulletin.
Suggesting other ways of building relationship with our supporters.
Help to increase our support base through publicity, our online material, our mission
activities, events including our launch videos.
Fundraising Activities (40% of your time).
Apply to Grant making Trust in line with our fundraising strategic plans.
Devise a strategy for raising funds through social media platforms.
Producing appeal letters in line with our communication strategy.
Exploring the possibility of creating a network of fundraisers.
Devise other innovative ways of raising funds for the work.
Research and implement a computer package (Raiser’s Edge/Sales Force or the
equivalent) that will combine all the aspects of developing donor relations required
for Speak Life. (10% of your time).
Cooperate with the OD & CEO to produce annual budget.
Produce reports as required for OD; CEO and Trustee meeting.
Support all fundraising activities.
Participate in all areas of Speak Life activities when asked to do so by the OD or
You will have good grasp of different fundraising approaches and how to maximise their
effectiveness. You will have technical proficiency on social media platforms, demonstrate
attention to detail in your work and be adept at managing your time.
