Dear Friends,
Some of you will be aware that this Sunday is Trinity Sunday in the church calendar. Glen once noted that searches on his blog for the word “trinity” spiked the Saturday evening before Trinity Sunday in what we can only assume was a desperate last minute scrabble for a talk by exasperated pastors who were still not quite sure what on earth they were going to say the next morning. Well never fear, as Glen and Paul have taken the time on this week’s podcast/LIVEcast to think ‘”Why the Trinity?” Why is the trinity so important in our evangelism and as part of the good news of Christianity. You can check out their thoughts either on video or audio.
Jordan Peterson made waves again recently when asked (again) why he won’t give a clear answer on whether he believes in God. In an emotional response, Peterson asked who would have the audacity to say they believed, given the burden it places on people. If we claim to believe in God, we ought to live like we do and who can claim that? They were striking words, but has Peterson missed something? Well Glen thinks he has, so make sure to check out his latest video examining Peterson’s words. We can honestly say this video is the last word on Jordan Peterson!
In case you missed any of that, we’ve collected all of these resources for you right here!
Coming Up For Speak Life
We’d value your prayers for these upcoming projects and engagements:
- Glen is speaking in Ipswich this week and both he and Paul will be at Christchurch Banstead next week for their mission.
- Please pray for accommodation for our interns. We are asking local churches to ask their congregations if anyone can put people up. Pray for people to come forward and for interns to be matched to the right hosts.
- Pray for Dan as he continues to manage the building refurbishment. There are still many jobs to be done, requiring haste and working to a budget.
