Dear Friends,
Easter seems to have flown by and everybody is now back into the swing of things, including us. Despite the Easter break our building work has nearly been completed and we anticipate moving back in sometime this week. We’ve still got some work to do on our studio space but it’s looking like it will all come together.
This week Glen spoke to Sharon Dirckx (it rhymes with ‘lyric’!) about her new book, “Am I Just My Brain?” The book is a fantastic introduction to a subject that has occupied thinkers for thousands of years. Using the latest in neuroscience as well as insights from philosophy and theology Sharon demonstrates how “reductive physicalism” cannot account for the latest scientific data, nor the most basic facts of our conscious experience. Her and Glen also discuss how the Christian faith best makes sense of our world.
And in this week’s LIVEcast, Glen and Paul discuss 10 Prayer Killers, looking at different things that can cause our prayer life to faulter. It’s also available as a podcast.
In case you missed any of that, we’ve collected all of these resources for you right here!
Coming Up For Speak Life
We’d value your prayers for these upcoming projects and engagements:
- On Sunday, Paul is speaking about the woman at the well at Curious, the youth event at the Bible By The Beach Conference. Pray for him and the teenagers who will hear the offer of living water.
- Glen has a final draft of his Christmas book to complete soon. Pray for timeliness in completion and for getting the right words down.
- Continued recruitment for the Foundry – that we would find the right people to come.
