In contrast to the busyness of last week, this week has been a little quieter, particularly in terms of output. With Glen away in the States and our offices undergoing renovation, we’re in a slightly strange limbo state. But that doesn’t mean we’ve been sitting on our hands.
Monday night saw the release of an interview with Alastair Roberts. Alastair is a writer, scholar, youtuber & podcaster.who works for the Davenant Institute and the Theopolis institute. Glen chatted with him about how Christians can best navigate social media, in what was an incredibly insightful interview. You can get the standalone audio in this week’s podcast. One not to be missed!
With Glen at The Gospel Coalition Conference in Indianapolis, Paul was left to do the LIVEcast by himself. He shares some thoughts on praying for Brexit, we catch up with Glen’s travels and we get a sneak preview at our Easter video, “That Dragon, Death” based on the video game “That Dragon, Cancer,” a game created by Ryan and Amy Green as a way to deal with and remember their son Joel who passed away from terminal cancer aged 4. Watch out for the full release in coming weeks and for a full length interview with the couple.
And do keep praying for and sharing the Speak Life Foundry, our new intern programme starting in September. With building work on our new look studio and teaching spaces well underway, we now need some interns to fill them.
In case you missed any of that, we’ve collected all of these resources for you right here!
Coming Up For Speak Life
We’d value your prayers for these upcoming projects and engagements:
- Give thanks for Glen’s trip to The Gospel Coalation Conference in the US and for the opportunities to share Jesus there, as well as to build links with Christians overseas.
- The building work at the Speak Life office – pray for a smooth process and for works to run to schedule and budget.
- The production of our Easter videos — that they would reach many and point them to Jesus.
