Dear Friends,
Most of us will be aware of the terrible tragedy that took place in Christchurch, New Zealand last week, where at the time of writing, 50 muslims lost their lives after a shooter entered a mosque and opened fire. With the country and indeed the world reeling from the events, many have responded in different ways. But what is the Christian response? In this week’s monologue, Glen shares some thoughts on the situation, and both he and Paul take the time to think further about this during this week’s LIVEcast.
We also continued our Thorny Questions series with another instalment looking at the Bible. This week we consider whether the gospels are simply a fairytale and we look to both C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien for some answers.
At Speak Life we want to expand our output as well as expand our team. The Speak Life Foundry exists to help raise up the next generation of evangelists. Could you join us in Eastbourne from this September? Or do you know people who could? It would particularly suit school- or university-leavers with a passion for mission and perhaps also creative gifts. Do spread the word!
In case you missed any of that, we’ve collected all of these resources for you right here!

Coming Up For Speak Life
We’d value your prayers for these upcoming projects and engagements:
- Give thanks for the week of Lenten Addresses at Felsted school last week and the openness to the hearing and proclaiming of the gospel.
- Recruitment to the Foundry, our internship programme developing creative evangelists. Pray for the right people to come forward and be selected.
- Special Christmas and Easter projects in development now. They have the chance to reach hundreds of thousands with the good news.
