In his latest letter, John Kirkby, Director of Christians Against Poverty (CAP) writes: “So many amazing things are happening every day at CAP – I just wanted to give you a bit of a behind the
scenes, personal update! I hope you can see and be encouraged by this incredible thing…”
“Last week we opened a staggering 43 new CAP centres, with 89 people from local churches now all trained up as missionaries in their towns and communities, equipped to minister to the poor
and broken. This means more people will be reached with the love of God and helped out of debt, addictions or unemployment. We’re believing for 600 centres by the beginning of next year!”
“Our External Affairs team have been at the Labour and Conservative party conferences connecting with MPs last week. It turns out a senior minister in the Treasury volunteers her time for
her local CAP Debt Centre! “
“We passed an amazing milestone of seeing 1,000 people come to faith through CAP in the last twelve months! If you’d have told me 20 years ago that I’d see 6,000 people finding Jesus through CAP by the end of our 20th year I’d have been sceptical.”
