A Florida court recently ruled in favour of two Christian ministries, calling the demand for curtailment of State funding made by an atheist group “discriminatory”. Prisoners of Christ and Lamb of God Ministries had long standing and effective outreach towards ex-offenders, helping them to cope with life after leaving prison, providing shelter, food, and vocational guidance. Judge George Reynolds III of the Circuit Court in Leon County, Florida, said that the provision of aid allows the government to contract with faith-based non-profit organizations to promote state objectives.
