Christians wait. It’s part and parcel of our life of faith. Christ came once to save us from our sins. He will come a second time to raise us up and renew the world. In the meantime we wait. But this waiting is not about inactivity. It is the waiting of servants who have been given their orders by a master who will return. It’s the waiting of an engaged couple with much to do to prepare for married life. It’s a longing and anticipation for Christ to return and as we lean forwards on tiptoes to that “happy ending” we cannot help but live in the light of it now.
PRAY to “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
