How astonishing to think of “the Humble God” and yet this is precisely what we see in Jesus. The eternal Son chose to come, to stoop, to empty Himself, to suffer, to bleed and to die for us.
What a climb down! And yet this is what it means to be “in the form of God.” Such humility was not a departure from the divine glory but an expression of it. When we see Jesus dying for us
we see the very depths of the divine nature. This is what God is like – the God who would rather die for us than live without us.
PRAISE the humble God!
