When you think of the story of Job, what is your take-home message? James looks back on those 42 chapters – mainly of suffering – and sees a Lord full of compassion and mercy. When he brings to mind “what the Lord finally brought about” he views that suffering in a different light. The same will be true of our own lives too. At the end, when Christ returns and His happy ending overwhelms us all, we will be able to sing with gusto: “Great is thy faithfulness!”
PRAY for heaven’s perspective on today’s trials.
