26 percent of the 80 million people in Iran are children below the age of 14. “It is the youth in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan that will shape the future of their societies and it is therefore of paramount importance to now address their needs, attitudes and interests through appropriate Christian programming,” says Nikoo Ordodary, Programming Manager and Deputy Executive Director at SAT-7 PARS.
The show for younger children ‘SMILE’ is very popular and, from the end of this year, SAT-7 PARS will also be airing a new live-show called: ‘SMILE Magazine’ which is for older children between 8 and 13 years of age. “It will be very dynamic and more interactive. It has to be, because we are dealing with older children,” says Shahin Kashiloo, the program’s Director.
“It will be a lot of fun and, at the same time, we will seek to help young viewers understand about God’s love for them. We offer them hope for their futures and encourage them to get to personally know Christ for themselves.”
