“The majority of Iran’s population are young and during these turbulent political and economic times, they are in need of spiritual nurture and guidance,” says Nikoo Ordodary, Programming
Manager and Deputy Executive Director at SAT-7 PARS. He says:
“It is the youth in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan that will shape the future of their societies and it is therefore of paramount importance to now address their needs, attitudes and interests through appropriate Christian programming.”
Since September, the kids’ show ‘SMILE’ has two live-shows per week, giving more children the opportunity to call the hosts and interact with the programme. A new live-show called: ‘SMILE
Magazine’ for older children between 8 and 13 years of age, is being produced. “It will be very dynamic and more interactive” says Shahin Kashiloo, the programme’s Director. “It will seek to help young viewers understand about God’s love for them. We offer them hope for their futures and encourage them to get to personally know Christ for themselves.”
