After centuries, the Church in Tunisia is blossoming into new life. One of its leaders recently told SAT-7 that there are now an estimated 3,000-5,000 believers. “God has been working,” he said. Although there are only 300 to 500 openly attending churches, he said, “We have a new generation of lovers of Jesus.” One of these is Samira*, aged 22, a recent graduate from university in Tunis, recently returned to her home town. She is learning how to follow Jesus as the only Christian in her family – and, as far as she knows, her community. She is supported through the SAT-7 TV programmes.
